Antenova’s revolutionary High Dielectric Antenna (HDA®)
technology is based on the concept of radiating currents in dielectric
materials. HDA® resulted from three years of pioneering R&D at
Antenova that transformed the effect of dielectric resonance from a
scientific curiosity into a complete technology backed by a design
methodology and computer-aided tools. Computer modelling and rapid
prototyping techniques have helped Antenova to take antenna development
from a research activity to volume production. The key technical
benefits of HDA® include:
• Increased resistance to detuning • Multi-band capability • Compact size • High radiation efficiency • Works with a full groundplane • Good isolation from other antennas on the PCB
These
technical advantages translate into improved handset performance such
as increased channel capacity, more compact implementation and lower
power consumption. These advantages help to drive down costs for OEMs,
whilst contributing to increased ARPU for the networks. In addition, the
handset design cycle time and cost is reduced.
Among the
capabilities that HDA® technology offers are: small size and resistance
to detuning, the use of multiple antennas on small PCBs, narrow or
broadband configuration, and high efficiencies.
