Manufacturing of Antenova's products is outsourced
to a range of chosen and approved suppliers who are mainly located in
Asia. The company works with partners, contract manufacturers,
sub-contractors and suppliers in order to find the most appropriate and
cost effective manufacturing for each product. Antenova has
developed a supply chain that responds to all the requirements of the
final products. For each component/part category, at least two suppliers
are in place in order to provide the reliability, robustness and cost
leverage needed. The capability and capacity of all the suppliers are
thoroughly audited according to our internal quality processes. Antenova
has direct relationships with suppliers in the fields of:
• Ceramic material • Plastic injection moulding • Flexi-circuit manufacturing • RF cables • RF connectors • PCB manufacturing • Metal parts (forming, shaping, cutting, bending)
Antenova’s
supplier base is continually reviewed and developed in order to ensure
all current and potential requirements are met.
Assembly
of the final product is conducted by the chosen Contract
Manufacturer(s). All the contract manufacturers (CMs) are fully
qualified to Antenova's quality systems and standards and are required
to be ISO9001 certified. Again, having a variety of CMs provides the
reliability, robustness and cost leverage required in order to respond
to the customers’ requirements in terms of capability, capacity and
price. When required (e.g. parts critical to product function), The CM’s
Tier 2 supply base is also directly audited by Antenova.
There are two main types of CMs used by Antenova, depending on the complexity of the product;
• Simple assembly is performed by low cost sources when no cables and connectors are present in the design • More complex assembly involving special machinery for cables and connectors
Working relationships and current production are in place with both types of CMs.
Antenova
is ISO9001 certified. The company quality system put in place has now
been audited successfully several times to retain its accreditation.
Antenova’s Quality System has been judged as robust and is continually
being improved by the Quality representative.
All approvals necessary for antenna production and deliveries are covered by Antenova's internal processes;
• Supplier Approval: all suppliers are audited and qualified to supply the parts to Antenova. •
Parts Approval: all parts provided by our suppliers are fully inspected
before being approved, both from a mechanical and an electrical point
of view. • Product Approval: similarly, all products are fully inspected and characterised by Antenova before release for production. • Production Approval: all assembly lines are visited and audited before being authorised for production • Customer Approval: when required, customer visits and audits to our supplier are arranged and supported.
The
quality of the products delivered is also monitored closely by the
Contract Manufacturers and by Antenova. Depending on the product, 100%
inspection, or batch inspection is put in place in the process.
Antenova
has developed distribution channels to ensure deliveries and shipping
are as efficient as possible. Selection of the distribution channel is
based on the customer, its geographical location, and any specific
logistics requirements.
