New Product Announcement: Introducing Aurata
Product Launch

Antenova launches Aurata SR4L112: a compact, high efficiency embedded 4G/LTE antenna engineered for long, narrow PCB designs.

Antenova, a specialist in RF antenna solutions for connected devices, has expanded its embedded cellular portfolio with Aurata (SR4L112), a passive FR4 surface-mount antenna designed for direct soldering onto the host PCB. Aurata supports key global 4G/LTE cellular bands, including LTE 700, GSM850, GSM900, DCS1800, PCS1900, WCDMA2100, LTE B7 (2500–2690MHz), and LTE B40 (2300–2400MHz), helping engineers address demanding cellular, LPWA, and NB-IoT deployments from a single compact antenna platform.

Measuring just 28mm x 10mm x 3.3mm, Aurata delivers robust RF performance in a highly compact SMD form factor, with minimal keep-out area for space-constrained IoT, consumer, industrial, handheld, telematics, and smart metering designs. For optimum performance, the antenna is positioned on the short edge of the PCB with clearance in five spatial directions; no ground plane is required on either side of the antenna, simplifying layout decisions and supporting faster integration.

Aurata is engineered to maintain high efficiency 4G/LTE performance across the following operating bands:

• 698 – 960MHz (67%)
• 1710 – 2170MHz (66%)
• 2300 – 2400MHz (57%)
• 2500 – 2700MHz (68%)

With its compact footprint, wide cellular coverage, and integration-friendly RF architecture, Aurata is suited to applications including:

• Internet of Things (IoT) Sensors
• Smart Metering (water, electricity, natural gas)
• Telematics and tracking devices
• 2M2M (Machine to Machine) / Remote monitoring

Aurata is supplied in tape-and-reel packaging to support automated pick-and-place SMT assembly, enabling repeatable integration and efficient scaling from prototype builds through high-volume production.

Aurata reflects Antenova’s Design for Integration (DFI) approach: antennas are developed to help product designers achieve reliable RF performance within the constraints of real-world PCB layouts, rather than forcing the product architecture to be built around the antenna. The SR4L112 is the latest addition to Antenova’s lamiiANT® family, manufactured from high-performance dielectric laminate substrates for dependable embedded cellular performance.

Aurata wireless antenna and evaluation board (PN SR4L112 - EVB -1) are available to order from authorized distributors.
