Antenova Ltd, UK headquarters, launches Petrosa - WiFi 6E/WiFi 7 antenna that operates on-ground with no clearance required.
The Petrosa (SR43W081) PIFA (Planar Inverted Antenna) provides a unique feature. It operates on a ground plane with no clearance requirements. Petrosa is compatible with WiFi 6E & WiFi 7 protocols and supports older versions of Wi-Fi on 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. It performs well on 2.4 – 2.5GHz and 4.9 – 7.125GHz frequencies and offers 55% efficiency and 45% efficiency, respectively.
Optimal performance requires Petrosa to be positioned on the long edge of the PCB. The Petrosa antenna is a true on-ground PIFA antenna, requiring no clearance and minimum board space.
Designed for integration, this new WiFi 6E and WiFi 7 antenna provides high performance from its small SMD footprint of 20mm × 5mm × 5mm, ideal for compact product designs.
